Standard Terms and Conditions

  1. Double Eagle Voice & Data Systems LLC, hereinafter referred as “Double Eagle”, will to perform the service described in the “Scope of Work” included in this document. All work will be performed in accordance with prevailing codes, ordinances and regulations and meet or exceed guidelines sponsored or endorsed by National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and National Electrical Code (NEC), and will reflect standards presented in EIA/TIA 568A Commercial Building Telecommunications Cabling Standards. All work will be performed in a professional, courteous and expeditious manner. All efforts will be made to prevent or minimize disruption of operations or duties being performed by customer personnel. Double Eagle will work with diligence and good faith to execute the prescribed work, to completion, within the project schedule negotiated with the Customer.
  2. The Customer will provide access to all necessary workspaces, Minimum Point of Entry (MPOE) locations or building entry terminals, wiring closets, offices, terminals, intermediate distribution frames, main distribution frames, manholes, utility tunnels, cable vaults, splice points, mechanical cores or other areas required to facilitate Double Eagle‘s engineering and installation personnel.
  3. Double Eagle will not assume accountability for or absorb costs associated with delays that are the direct result of Customer’s scheduling, policies, procedures, personnel, denied accessibility or incomplete / inadequate site preparation. The Customer will not absorb costs associated with delays attributed to Double Eagle‘s scheduling, policies, procedures, personnel or other internal causes.
  4. Double Eagle will not assume accountability for or absorb costs associated with delays that are the direct result of Carrier’s missing, incorrect or malfunctioning circuit(s) or circuit labeling.
  5. The Customer will provide, in advance, notification of any unique requirements, hazardous locations, security precautions, access restrictions or other extraordinary conditions that may exist and which may affect the execution of the project.
  6. Locations known to contain asbestos or other hazardous material will be clearly identified to Double Eagle prior to project activities. The Customer assumes responsibility for removal of all unencapsulated asbestos or encapsulated asbestos that must be disturbed during the project.
  7. Double Eagle will not enter areas suspected to contain toxic or hazardous waste or unencapsulated asbestos.
  8. The Customer will provide copies of all existing site, utility or communications maps, diagrams, building backbone drawings, spider maps or other related information and records that may assist in expediting project.
  9. All cable will conform to NEC (Article 800) specifications for the intended purpose and application.
  10. All cable will be concealed wherever possible. Cost prohibitive concealment will be brought to the attention of the Customer for advisement.
  11. Voice and data terminations will be separate and distinctly identifiable, as well as clearly designated with corresponding jack numbers.
  12. Twisted pair integrity will be maintained to code to all termination points. All new horizontal data cable runs will be direct and less than 90 meters, having no splice points or bridge connections.
  13. All penetrations will be fire stopped with appropriate materials used in accordance with manufactures specifications, NFPA practices and applicable codes, statutes or ordinances.
  14. All supporting hardware and fasteners will be of the type and design approved for the intended use (size and weight distribution). New cable will be supported and will not be allowed to lay on ceiling tiles, or be fastened to existing electrical conduits, steam pipes, sprinkler pipes, insulated pipes or be routed in such a fashion as to obstruct access hatches, doors, utility access panels, mechanical service work areas or fittings and will not be routed though fire doors, ventilating shafts, grates or parallel with other electrical conductors.
  15. Double Eagle is prepared to commence work, as described, within 21 calendar days of contract signing.
  16. When applicable, Customer will provide a letter of agency within 7 calendar days of contract signing.
  17. Double Eagle will not be responsible for any liquidated or consequential damages that arise under this agreement.
  18. Work will be warranted to be free of defects in material or workmanship for 1 year from the date of project completion and acceptance. Double Eagle will not warrant against damage or impairment caused by personnel not employed by Double Eagle.
  19. Unless stated otherwise, all work will be performed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Double Eagle reserves the right to work outside this time frame, at no additional cost to the customer, if we so deem it necessary.
  20. This proposal is valid for 90 days from the date that appears at the top of the document. After 90 days Double Eagle will require that the job be rebid. This proposal may be extended for an indefinite period at Double Eagle exclusive discretion.
  21. For structured cabling projects, customer must supply an electronic copy of floor layout clearly showing all voice, data, fiber optic and/or CATV cable locations and specifying whether “plenum-rated” cabling is required by code.
  22. Any conduits, pathways or routes provided or existing are assumed to be in good working order, of sufficient size and easily accessible.
  23. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.
  24. Signatures of the Customer are required at the end of this section. Acceptance of this proposal is implied if Customer allows Double Eagle to begin project without required signatures.

Manufacturer Warranty

We provide quality products with warranties from reputable manufacturers that have a long history of customer satisfaction. There is no charge for calls made during the warranty period.

Extended Warranty

When we install your new telephone system, voice mail, call accounting, automated attendant system, paging systems or any other telecommunications equipment, Double Eagle can provide an extended service agreement after the manufacturer’s warranty period expires.
